March 11th was Sunday. We attended sacrament meeting in a local ward. How fun it was to find that the Bishop there was named Bishop Corry! We went up and introduced ourselves to him afterward, and found out that he is of the St. George Corry's. Crazy! After church, we packed into the car and drove from Honolulu to Laie. But first we stopped by Leonard's to grab some Malasadas. Berkeley had been raving about them for days, and I was excited to dry one! They're basically big donut holes. I thought they were okay, but I wish I had tried some of the cream filled ones! Next time...
After our minor detour, we continued on to our destination! The drive was absolutely beautiful! We got to our rental, and had a few issues getting inside... the key box wasn't working, so the management finally just let us in. We unpacked our stuff, and wandered around the nearby Turtle Bay resort. It was just beautiful! I don't really have many pictures for today, so I'll leave you with a picture of Steve checking out one of the macaws in our hotel before we left for Laie.
