Rewind to Christmas

We were blessed with an awesome surprise at Christmas this year. My parents gave us a puzzle (tradition) along with the following poem:

This winter's been cold, and so dreadfully gray,
We're ready for green and palm trees that sway;
With a "Ho," and a "Ho," and a "Ho, Ho, Ho, Ho,"
The Johnsons and Corrys are ready to go.
On a big jet we'll fly, all decked out in our leis,
Flip-flops in hand and ready to play.
We'll fly and we'll fly, 'til we stick to our seats,
We'll eat peanuts and pretzels and other plane treats,
Til we finally arrive not a minute too soon,
To see Maggie and Brian, still on honeymoon.

Such fun and excitement is hard to contain,
In less than three months we'll be on that plane.
Oh Criminy, Criminy, Criminy sake,
We'll quiver and giggle; with excitement we'll shake,
We'll whoop and we'll shout and we'll all scream "Yahoo,"
As we bask in the warmth of a land called Oahu.
"A family vacation" we sing with delight,
"A full week in March to make us feel bright."

No cares or concerns will follow us there,
We'll relax and enjoy, and not worry a hair;
Let's pack swimsuits and sandals, and sunscreen galore,
But leave home winter coats, we duly implore.
We'll snorkel and swim - oh yes, what a plan,
As we darken our skin to a nicely bronzed tan,
Our toes in the sand, and our face in the breeze,
Will help us un-thaw from our deep winter freeze!

Aloha with Love,
Mom and Dad Claus

My parents had been saving their Delta Skymiles for years and years, and finally decided to cash them in to take us all to Hawaii to visit my youngest sister and her husband. (both attending BYU-H) I don't want to forget anything about this awesome week, so I'd better get busy recording it!!
