Just for Jenna. :)

This is just for you Jenna. :D Okay...and because I've been a slacker and haven't written anything in over a month. I'm committing right here that I will become a better blogger...I hope... :) This past month in a nutshell, or everything I can remember... :) I started the block, which has been great, but lots of work! I did my practicum in a 2nd grade class at Fiddler's Elementary, and I absolutely loved it! At the end of my three weeks, the kids in my class all wrote me letters and put them together into a book!! They were adorable, comparing my name to a "corry reef", and telling me that I was appreciated because I helped the teacher "while she is in her office doing something that is really important." I'm going to miss those kids! Now, I just finished the classroom management class, and I'm in science/health every day from 8:30-4. They're long days, but lots of fun! Steve's still been working at Chrysalis and being an amazing husband! Last weekend we were able to go to Salt Lake and spend the weekend with my family to celebrate both of our birthdays! (Steve had his birthday on May 5 and I will have mine on June 10.) We had a great time! We went to the Bees game...one of the few that they've won!...had dinner at my cousin's grandparent's house, ran a 5k in the rain, ate yummy cake, and we each got a new ipod nano! We've had a lot of fun playing with them...and we're both getting pretty good at Solitaire... :D
Next week we're going to be in Las Vegas! I have to do a diversity practicum for the block, so they're sending us to three inner city schools in North Las Vegas. We'll be there for 4 days, and I can hardly wait! I think this is going to be a great experience, although I am slightly nervous...

Oh- I want to post a picture, so here's the story that goes with it. Steve and I were invited to go hiking in Zion with our friends Tom and Jentry. So, we went to Zion and decided to buy a national parks pass. (If anyone wants to go to a national park...just let us know!) This is a picture of us before we actually went into the park. Steve has better ones on his computer, including a 2 minute video he made, documenting our hike to the three Emerald Pools. I'll have to convince him to add a blog and add those pictures. But here's one for your viewing enjoyment. And maybe I'll be better at this thing from now on... :D Have a great day everyone!
