Update for the world!!

Okay... So I have a lot of serious blogging to catch up on here. Here's a couple random pictures and such to fill in all of you interested readers. :D

So, last weekend began Saturday with a phone call from our landlord. We were up and preparing to go to Salt Lake. Sunday was our anniversary, so we were going to celebrate all weekend. :) Our landlord called to tell us that someone had visited our car the night before. It appeared as though someone wanted to give us an anniversary cake!... that didn't make it to far. Or not. Here's a look at Steve's beautiful car before he spent the morning cleaning.

After the car was all cleaned up, we made it up to Salt Lake where we went to Hogle Zoo! Fun stuff! I hadn't been there since elementary school, so it was super fun to go again! My students were finishing up animal reports, so it was fun to try to track down all of their animals. I have lots of pictures of me pointing to animals. Then, I put all the pictures together into a powerpoint presentation and took it to school. I was basically the coolest teacher ever for those fifteen minutes. :)

Here I am pointing out the elephant for one of my sweet little girls. Yay elephants!
Steve compared himself to an orangutan... my kids thought for sure that although Steve was almost as big (arm to arm) their dads were certainly bigger! And one cute little boy insisted that he was in fact bigger than this orangutan... right... And here's me sizing up to the gorilla.
Steve found his favorite animal at the zoo! The lemur. Steve's really good at leaping like a lemur... so it was fun to see him with the lemurs. :)
I always liked the lion drinking fountains all over the park.
Unfortunately, there were some animals I couldn't find in the the zoo. (see lion above) Some of them, I was able to find in the gift store. Like this terrifying polar bear!
Scariest looking polar bear I've ever seen! :D

Anyway, that was our trip to the zoo. I loved it!

Sunday was our 1 year anniversary. Yay!! It's weird to think that it's already been a whole year, but it also feels like I've been with Steve my entire life. Bizarre feeling. I love Steve SO much! So, I made Sunday dinner extra special. :) For dinner, I made a YUMMY fondue recipe. It was super good, and lots of fun to eat the fondue!
Then for dessert, we had chocolate fondue! Another super yummy treat, and lots of fun. We also got to eat the top layer of our wedding cake! I LOVED spending the whole evening with my love! He surprised me with the sunflowers on Sunday morning. I love sunflowers. It was very romantic. :D I can't believe how lucky I am to have Steve in my life... forever! I love him so much and I look forward to many more happy years with him! People say that the first year is the hardest. Our year has just been full of happiness, so I can't wait for many more years just like this one! And better. :D

On a random note, I finally got a new purse on Monday to replace Sausilito. For anyone who missed that... Sausilito was my wonderful green purse with the worm. He was stolen several months ago, and I've been making do with a small black purse I had that I really didn't like. So, here's a picture of my new one. Much more me! :D
I finished up my last parent teacher conferences last night. Right in the middle of them, I got a wonderful phone call from Steve. And Drumroll please...........

Steve was accepted into Utah State's School Psychology EdS program!!! WAHOOLA!!!!!! We'll be moving to Logan in the next couple months and I can't wait!!
I'm really proud of Steve. He's been working really hard the past few months with GRE, preparing applications, preparing himself for interviews, etc. Utah State was his first choice, and he was one of 5 people accepted- I'm so Proud!! So- if you see Steve around, be sure to congratulate him! :D
PS- check out the entry below- still spaces available for a free gift! :D
Love to you all!!!
